I think to-go cocktails, and wine and beer, should be allowed forever. I think Rhode Islanders should be able to get wine shipped in from Napa Valley or anywhere else they want. I think we should be able to buy liquor in grocery stores, and that wineries and breweries should be able to sell as much as they want. I am no fan of Rhode Island's laws that limit everything from distribution to shipping of alcoholic beverages. Why is this coming up now? Because restaurants and bars have struggled due to COVID and some lawmakers think this will help their bottom line.
